Privacy policy
Saliqa is an individual project operated from Pakistan by Syed Shahnawaz Ali. Saliqa helps adults organise household tasks, reminders, and deliberately shared school notices. This policy explains the information Saliqa handles and the choices available to you.
Who may use Saliqa
Saliqa is designed for adults aged 18 and over who manage household or school reminders. Children do not create Saliqa accounts or sign in independently. An authorised adult may create a limited managed profile for a child, but should use a nickname where possible and should not add unnecessary personal details.
Information you provide
- Your phone number, display name, city, and account settings used for sign-in and your profile.
- Household members, roles, managed-profile details, tasks, reminders, and settings you create.
- Photos, screenshots, voice recordings, or text that you deliberately submit for a requested capture feature.
- A device notification token if you grant notification permission, so Saliqa can deliver reminders.
- Limited technical and security information needed to protect the service and investigate failures. Saliqa does not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, health information, or payment details for this initial release.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, keep household access private, organise reminders, process requested captures, deliver notifications, recover interrupted work, respond to support or privacy requests, and protect the service from misuse. Saliqa does not scrape private chats and does not post or message anyone automatically.
Device permissions
Camera and photo access are used only when you choose to capture or select a notice. Microphone access is used only when you choose voice capture. Notification access is used only to deliver reminders. You can deny these permissions and still use manual task entry where available.
Managed child profiles
Children do not sign in independently, receive targeted advertising, or operate their own Saliqa account. Adult-entered managed profiles should contain only the information needed for the household feature. Do not add a child's date of birth, exact age, photo, phone number, email, location, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Service providers
Saliqa uses Google Firebase services for authentication, data storage, server processing, and notifications. A requested AI capture may be processed by an approved provider only when that feature is enabled and the adult submits the content for processing. These providers may process information outside Pakistan under their own service terms. We do not sell personal information.
Optional campaign analytics
On Android, optional campaign analytics are off unless you switch them on in Privacy and data. If enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase may collect basic app-usage events and analytics identifiers, and Saliqa records campaign tags (source, medium, campaign, and content) supplied by a Google Play install link to understand which link brought an install. The campaign event does not include Saliqa account details or notice content. You can turn this off in the app. Advertising and paid subscriptions are not active.
Final legal wording, provider retention, export/deletion handling, and Play disclosures must be approved before this optional provider is enabled for a public release.
Retention and security
We retain account, household, task, and reminder information while it is needed to provide the service or until you request deletion. Submitted source media and processing artifacts are intended to be temporary and may be removed after processing and recovery windows. Limited security, deletion-request, or legal records may remain longer when reasonably necessary; we will explain applicable exceptions. We use authenticated access, household authorization, private storage, and bounded processing flows. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can review your privacy choices in the app, correct information, request a copy of your information, or request account deletion. See the account-deletion page for the external request path. Shared household information may require an ownership or access check before it is changed or deleted.
Changes to this policy
If Saliqa adds a material data use, provider, advertising feature, or subscription, we will update this page and the applicable Google Play disclosures before enabling it.
